Ristorante Do Forni

The history of Do Forni restaurant goes back to the oldest traditions of the city. In the golden years of the Venetian Republic, inside this restaurant there was the oven that produced the bread and cakes for the nearby St. Zaccharius’ convent and a small section was devoted to a typical Venetian inn.

Transformed into a restaurant in the 19th century, since 1973 it has been in the hands of Eligio Paties, who has turned it into a much sought-after international destination for all those who wish to be welcomed in line with the noblest traditions of hospitality.

Do Forni proposes traditional Venetian cuisine with a wide choice of fish, shellfish and crustaceans from the Adriatic prepared according to old Venetian recipes, accompanied by seasonal vegetables and delicate dressings, but it is also possible to enjoy an elegant interpretation of Veneto and Italian cuisine that combines the influence of international gastronomic art to the use of local meat and vegetables.

The restaurant’s wine cellar is large and excellent quality. It proposes the best Italian regional labels, the most prestigious French wines and champagne, besides a carefully chosen wide range of wines of international production.
