Irina Freguia, a Venetian, has had a special passion for her city since she was a young girl. This led to her choice to go into catering and then to the opening of “Vecio Fritolin”.

Here you can try the fruits of carefully researched food combinations, made with the very best, extremely fresh and seasonal ingredients purchased personally by Irina every morning at the Rialto Market.

Demanding and curious clients may like to try a dish of home-made pasta with scallops and courgette flowers, or very light mixed fried fish or slices of fillet of tuna with salad, carefully prepared by Gabriele Alloni, the chef, together with Martino Di Stefano.

Since 2006 Vecio Fritolin manages the cafeteria and restaurant of Palazzo Grassi, home to François Pinault’s collection of contemporary art, where Irina proposes some of Vecio Fritolin’s dishes at midday.
